I even love them from behind.....
*Sigh*.....
OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhh! I want some:( How fun!
ReplyDeleteOh Paula I'm laughing - they are lovely I'm positive that is a lovely chicken. ROFL - the hind view looks like what my hair does without conditioner! OK I'm sorry - they are nice silkie chickens - any woman who keeps goats has no room to giggle about chickens! You are the sweetest - you love your animals as much as we do ours!
ReplyDeleteI love Silkies! If I have a matched pair of WHite Japanese Bantams, I'll trade you some chicks!
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Silkies have black bones?
*sigh* I don't even have to tell you what I'm thinking, do I?? My kids are DYING to have some silkies. They think they are just SOoooo Keeeyuuuuute! I told them that yes - SOME day, we will have one. Or two. Or maybe three or six. LOL! HELP! I LOVE CHICKENS!!
ReplyDeleteNow those are the cutest chickens I've seen in a long time, and the 'behind shot' was a good way to start my day with a chuckle!!!
ReplyDeleteClementine is my favorite! Right up there with Belle and the Little terrorist! I used to breed silky doves and they were so gentle and sweet right out of the nest. Do silky chickens have different personalities from the smooth feathered chickens?
ReplyDeleteOh no...now I want Silkies, but I think my rather run-of-the-mill chicks will feel like wall flowers with those hair-dos!!! How cute!
ReplyDeleteJuri
They are adorable! I think I had better do some research before spring gets here. I've heard about so many different chickens I don't have a clue which to get now. lol Take Care :)
ReplyDeleteOh...they are so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new Silkies-
Hugs,
Pam
I don't know about these poofy chickens. I haven't decided yet how I feel about them but I will say that they are very unique. And isn't it great that you can enjoy them so much? I have a Gertie too and she's a sassy, independent little Orpington who lays pretty little eggs. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, those are the cutest chicks I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!! So stinking sweet. I love chickens. I love the new look, very chic.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I never thought of chickens as lovely, but I'm so glad to see them through your eyes! I think I see your point. They look very soft and ...well, Silky! LOL!
ReplyDeleteBeau is beautiful. His eyes are so soulful. He fills my heart with a deep longing for....egg salad?
ReplyDeleteWell I can see why you're in love-they are so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSooo Cute. I Love them and want some too.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww!!!! They are so cute and beautiful. I love their hairdos. And your house looks great, too. Are they pretty good layers? Mine took a break but are starting up again. I think mine are pretty but I might have to see if the "chicken man" has any silkies. HA. Hope you have a great week, Paula.
ReplyDeleteAngie

Very fuzzy and delicate! I am like Amy @ Twelve Acres in the fact that I'm not sure what I think about this breed. I'm not sure I would want such a delicate looking chicken but I definitely enjoy looking at them on your blog and at the fair.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! I love my chickens too! They are so fun to watch. I kinda wish I had some Silkies like you do.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty cute chicks!!! They come with hats on!! What are their eggs like?
ReplyDeleteOhmigosh...

ReplyDelete.. or at least that's what we call them when we see them in the petting zoo..
since their 'haircut' looks most like my daughter's afro.. *lol* (she always mentions that too)
greetings from holland!
I am with you on this! Something about feathers-just makes my heart want to dance a jig! They're wonderful, Paula!
ReplyDeleteLove, Debra

"A face only a mother could love" comes to mind. hee hee. No, I'm kidding, I think silkies are cute... but some non-farm types may think they're some sort of short ostrich!! :)
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWW, I think they are ADORABLE!!! They are just soooo cute!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust hopped over from The Back Acher, and it was love at first site (hehe, er, sight)
ReplyDeleteI am a Silkie keeper as well. I have a Blue Splash hen and two Black hens. But I am in love with the red one you have. My kids were all drooling over her too :D
I highlighted you as a 'new to me blog' on my site today.
Happy farming,
Katie
