Hi, I'm Paula.... remember me?

After being in the dark ages for the last three weeks from a major computer catastrophe, I'm finally back online! Woo-hoo! Who knew a faulty hard drive could bring me so much despair... *sigh*

Anyway, I have so much to share over the next few days and weeks- like new things from the kitchen and from my sewing room, farm happenings, and also some future plans for a barn makeover. I hope you're as excited as me! For the next couple of days however, I'm going to spend my computer time catching up with all my bloggy friends. I know I've missed so much in the last couple of weeks and I can't wait to find out what's new with you!


Here is a picture I thought I'd share today.... poor little Belle- every girl is allowed to have a "bad hair day" now and then.....

    Belle looks like me first thing in the am except my hair is white/blonde. Been missing you greatly and very glad you are back amongst the blogging. Time for seed catalog dreaming and summer garden planning!

    Paula! You're back!!! I wondered what had become of you. I suspected you'd been kidnapped by your sheep and chickens and your husband was having a hard time scraping together enough feed for ransome.... I'm glad it was just computer issues! ;)

    Well, I know how frustrating and heart-breaking those can be, so I hope you didn't lose anything valuable.

    Hey Paula,
    Good to see you back. I am sorry about your computer problems but I bet you got a lot done.
    I think about 6 weeks off of mine and my house/barn/yard/raised beds would look a whole lot cleaner. lol..
    Belle looks just fine. She looks like me when folks show up unexpected and I didn't realize I looked like that until they left.
    Windblown hair is what some gals(and guys) pay big money for at the hair salon.

    I've kinda been away too...just cause life gets so busy during Christmas with travel to the south and all. Now I have to try and get back into the swing of things. For some reason I am having a hard time this yr.

    I love all the photos from your recent post and 2008. The dog and deer is cool and love the back door guest. My Dad actually had a tractor kinda like that!

    Oh joy! I can't wait to hear about all YOUR farm activities! I have some white silkie hens outside with the same hair-do. You know, their top fluff usually looks a bit bedraggled in this cold damp weather, but they're still ready to brood anything resembling an egg!

    BTW, I have to keep close watch on the 'Belles' of my flock because they steal eggs from the other hens and want to brood, but I don't want any more chicks to tend right now!

I just had my powercord to my computer start sparking and finally short out last Sunday so I went a week with out my computer/blogging/emails....
