OMGosh! You were totally giving that bee drinks of water!!! How cool is that! I have met one other person who has been able to touch bees like that...she actually pet a bee and the bee let her...we were hiking with her and her hubby...I've never met anyone else like that until you! WOW! I'm amazed!
Linda Sue beat me to it! I was thinking, aww, she is a bee whisperer!
When the drones get evicted from the hives my husband enjoys having children hold the bees, explaining about drones lack of stingers, and showing children the difference between drones and the workers. Aren't bees so amazing?
Oh. my. goodness!!! I've NEVER, EVER, EVER seen anything like that! You are too cool for school, girl!!!!! Seriously... I kept saying, "Don't bite her!" and waiting to hear an ouch --- thankfully, though... I see you're a bee whisperer, among your many other talents!
I've missed so much, this past month. I'v just finished reading through, catching up but I know that I'm gonna forget to tell you something... first, I love the tractor parade (and how sweet that your Daddy got to come along and y'all spent the day together!) 2nd -- I just love your Daddy (have I said that, before?!?) It's so sweet how he's teaching you about the bees! Your bees are too neat but that picture of them coming out of their home was chilling! (I'm gonna have to get over that if I ever hope to have any, huh?!?) 3rd - What a sweet bunny... I want it... 4th - Elvis & Priscilla are really pretty! 5th -- I'm loving Smokey! What a sweetie!!! I just love dogs.... 6th - I'm so sorry about Cinnamon. I'm so sorry. Last - Thank you for taking us around the farm for morning chores! That was so fun and educational -- it's what they call "edufun"! I was thrilled!
I hope that it will dry out some for you -- but not as much as it's dried out here.... our pond is dropping SO much every day and our grass ...
So glad to visit with you, again! Many Blessings, Julie
I think I've seen it all now! Ohmigosh!!! I've never seen anybody "hand"feed a bee beefore. I wanted to scream "Paula Honey, stay away from it's other end!" lol I'm so sorry but I still have the biggest WELT from that vicious mongrel that stung me last weekend! lol Your bee is definitely much "sweeter" than the one that got in my britches that hung on the clothesline. Paula Paula Paula... You are somethin else. I LOVE YA "honey" L
Hi Paula! I tried visiting you here a day ago-my computer bonked out and would not let me into your little world! I'm glad it worked this time! I really love how you can hear that little guy buzzing at the very end! He is so cute!! I really had no doubt that you'd be petting your bees, though-that's you!!
That is the coolest thing I've seen in forever! Only you would make a bee your pet! You are truly amazing! Btw, I've moved to a new blog (new name...no more Southern Mom)!
OooooH! You are so brave! It's so great that you have your own bees. I don't mind bees so much since I found out that they are mysteriously disapearing all over the world. At the moment I'm having a bit of a bee problem in my pond. It's been sooooo hot and dry in San Antonio, that they are flocking to my pond. I don't mind sharing, but I want them on the opposite side from where I sit. Patricia :o)
Paula, I just found your blog and this is amazing about the bees. I'm learning so much about bee keeping from you. Great posting. Hope you have a great Fourth of July. Please visit my blog.
Paula, thanks so much for making that video and sharing it with us!! I loved watching the bee drink off of your finger!! I've never seen anyone do that before.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your honey 'harvesting' and all the other things that go with bee care.
This 'less' humid weather has been such a blessing! I know the humidity will pick back up, but I'm thankful for this small break.
Now I want to learn all about bees!!!!! That was just too amazing. I give you credit for being so brave in doing that! Can't wait to learn more and how you do it all with the bees!!!! Thank you for that!
My experience with a bee is one of being chased and ending up with it in my berry bucket! Love your video! I have had time constraints (Dad w/ cancer) and have not been able to keep up with your blog. I will do better Thanks for sharing Cindy
Awww, what's her name?
