While sucking on a wire fence may not keep him occupied for very long, I'm sure Baby and her udder are glad to have a little relief from nursing for a few minutes. (Click on the picture to enlarge- it is hysterical.) I was going to have a "Name that Lamb" contest for everyone to have fun with, but Hubby beat me to it and has already christened him "Rowdy". And believe me, he is living up to his name! (Sorry, Linda- I tried "Sweet Baby James" and that didn't go over too well... *LOL*)
Here are some more pictures of Rowdy and his momma enjoying being outside...

Oh, my! He is growing so fast! I love the name Rowdy--like Rowdy Yates from Rawhide; Clint Eastwood's first continuing role. He will grow to be a spectacular kid and then a superb sire/ram. I look forward to watching this guy grow up.
ReplyDeleteJames, Rowdy is a fine name for a big tuff ram. We women have a tendency to name the babies and not the adult that has to carry the name much longer. Oooops! But I can still love James Taylor's "Sweet Baby James", right?
Blessings to all for the new year. :) ★Linda
He is so cute~love the picture of him sucking on the wire!
ReplyDeleteAwww...ADORABLE! :)
ReplyDeleteI just love them! How I wish I could visit your farm!
I am probably asking a dumb question...but dont sheep usually have short tails? Rowdy's is so long? Do they get chopped at some point in their lives?
What a cutie! Sucking on a fence. Too funny. Must be like a pacifier for him. I had a lamb named Rowdy years ago. It's perfect for that little guy. Tell your husband he did good!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Fraker Farm!
Your little lamb is so cute Paula. I love "visiting" your farm. Have a blessed New Year!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
