Snowy Weekend

After snowing all night Friday and all day Saturday, 'twas a beautiful Sunday morning...

Breakfast was served under a canopy of white.

Rowdy wasn't sure what to make of the first snowfall of his young life.

"I wonder what this one tastes like..."

The view looking up the driveway.....

And the view looking down the driveway.
Yes, it really is as steep as it looks, and there are two very deep ditches on both sides.
(Now you know why a few inches of snow in East Tennessee and everything closes- no one can get down their driveway.)

Smokey wears his snow beard well.

Hubby keeps the carport clean for me. ♥ squeal

Home sweet home, all covered in white.

Happy Monday, everybody... hope you're staying warm wherever you are!

  6. Gosh the driveway does look steap. Do you have to get out and work? I don't mean the animals (I know that is a lot of work!). I have been lucky and not had to go out in it yet but will tomorrow, eesh.

  9. With the exception of a beautiful blanket of green grass, full-deep snow is the most beautiful way to cover all the imperfections---at least in our neighborhood! LOL
I want to know how those week old lambs are! How is Lucy doing ? Is she getting better? Are the little ones growing like Rowdy? Are you bottle feeding? Do they have names?
It is snowing here as I write but I am hoping it stops soon and spring bursts in tomorrow with Groundhog's Day. I am ready!
BTW--I snagged that picture of Smoky for my desktop/screen saver.

  10. We got lots of snow too! It's beautiful but it keeps us from going anywhere - which is fine with me!

    Great pictures!

  11. Paula, wonderful winter pictures. You will forgive me if I am sitting here saying, 'So glad we didn't get this.' LOL It has been snowing a little here today, but only a dusting. I am ready for spring. I also wanted to add how beautiful your home looks under the blanket of snow. This would make a good card picture. Have a good day. Winona

  12. Paula, your place looks beautiful with or without snow! I just love your sheep and your dog. That driveway does look treacherous. I remember everything shutting down in a bad snow or ice storm. Have a good week and stay warm...

Thanks for your sweet comments about my artwork. So kind of you to drop by and look!

Stay warm - looks like you've got a sweetheart of a hubby - keeping you all dug out of the snow and ice. I guess you just have to stay in when you can't get down the driveway...

  30. your place always looks so tidy and shipshape! Rowdy is growing like crazy and all looks just right for winter - in your part of the world - for us - it is time to think gardening and at least capris if not shorts! Weatherguessers have it wrong - more cold and rainy weather this month :::sigh:::::

  31. Paula, I always love seeing pictures of your place. The love, as well as elbow grease, that goes into it is evident; and it looks especially pretty under a blanket of white.

  32. Oh, Miss Paula!
Everything is so beautiful where you are - you're so blessed!
That driveway is a doozy, though and knowing that there are deep ditches on either side is sure enough to keep you at home!
    And those precious sheep, again...
We're trying to stay warm - just rain, no beuatiful snow, here.
Do your animals play in the snow? Kicking it and such? Kind of like a barnyard snowball fight? That would be so cute to watch!
    Blessings,
    Julie

  36. With all that snow it starting to look alot like NNY.

Oh, look at Rowdy, he just so cute...

Smokey, looks as if he just finished a snowcone. LOL

Our dogs will try to catch the snow when we shovel it from the sidewalk. Marley is really good at it she's a pro at jumping and twisting.

  40. Your home looks beautiful in the snow but could you make sure that it all melts in the next three weeks? We're headed down that way and would surelike to get away from it for awhile. :)
