Home Time Tuesday: Got those DIY Blues

Hubby and I are in the middle of giving my laundry room/ pantry a much needed make-over today.
And of course, with any home improvement project, there are always those unexpected little surprises that turn small jobs into big ones... we just noticed our hot water heater has been leaking. Thankfully the drip pan underneath it caught the excess water, but now we have to figure out where the water is coming from.
Yay.
Be back with the "after" pictures soon. (I hope...)

  2. Those pesky hot water tanks... We have had 3 in the past 25 years. They just dont make them to last anymore. I hope you find where its leaking.

Will be waiting to see what you do with your laundry room. Decorating it up will let you feel better about doing laundry. Yep?

  7. Oh fun... my kitchen sink is leaking underneath. I have a dish pan under there and have had it there for several months - have to empty it out every few days... It's way down on the list to get fixed I suppose, cuz it's not actually hurting anything.

Looking forward to seeing your "re-DO"! Hunker down - cold storm is coming!

  9. It does seem that these things happen often while attempting a home project. So glad the leaking water has not caused any damage. I look forward to the "after" pictures. I can't help but wonder if chickens will be part of the decor!

  16. We need to redo our laundry room - it is a main entrance from the detached garage and guest bathroom is accessed through laundry room - could use some jazzing up - maybe your DIY will inspire my DIY. Right now I just want to d-e-f-r-o-s-t! terribly cold and icy here in Texas
