Bluebirds are precious. Here in farm country, we are encouraged to put up bluebird houses for them. Everyone loves them---they are special. It looks so warm in your neck of the woods. A sweet photo. Happy Wednesday to you!
I notice a lot of birds now dont fly south anymore, so they seem to be sticking around in colder climates at least some are. Hope to see you at my blog on Thursday when i publish my images for the location where the movie Witness was filmed that stared Harrison Ford. Richard
What a great picture. I love blue birds. I've always heard you attract as many birds with water as food. I'm headed outside this minute to put out my water dish!!!
Great photo, Paula! Oh, by the way, I do remember Red Tail Hawks a lot from when we were back in the SE. They are so easy to recognize. I know they eat chickens...that would be worrisome for chicken owners like yourself! I still want chickens, and perhaps one day we will move a little "farther out" and I can have some. Have a wonderful weekend!
One of my most favorite little birds. Oh, how I long for warmer weather and the song birds to return to our neck of the woods. We are actually dipping below zero tonight, however, by Monday a heat wave will pass through possible 40 something. Whatever comes we will take it and count our blessings we are still here to witness it.
I adore the eastern bluebird, and one gave me quite a show outside my kitchen window this week, Paula. I read your last post on things getting back to normal and am so glad that your dh is doing so well, back surgery takes a while to heal from. I will continue to pray for him. That Lily is so adorable, and I believe she knows it too! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for taking the time to leave me such a sweet note, I am sorry for taking so long to get back for a visit, as i have been off line for a week, and as you well know farm work is never done. ~smile~ Enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Sue
We had bluebirds in our bluebird house one season. They raised 4 chicks. They never came back. I think we must have been too busy for them, right by the garden...... Wish we lived further from this so-called civilization!
So beautiful!!!
