  2. So beautiful. Ours was pretty spectacular too this morning, but it happens right around the time we're breakfasting and getting ready for school, so not exactly optimum picture-taking time!

    FYI - When I saw that little egg I just ran out and got some oyster shell for the girls. That little egg was hard enough, but so tiny. I'm sure the shorter days aren't helping any. Got a few hens molting - one of em's almost nekkid - no tail feathers all. So pitiful looking. I've upped their veggies and protein along with their pellets and they've been allowed to free-range alot more since I'm home more now. Think I'm going to put a light in the coop to come on a little earlier than the sun. Other than that, they're doing fine. Thanks for the tip - I knew you'd be the EGGspert that would set me right!
