I feel more like a "Rock Star"! tee hee Thank you, Linda!
I have also been tagged by Mare at Moon and Stars Studio to tell six unimportant things about myself. Here goes:
1. I hate celery. I love all veggies, and food in general..... except celery. Ugh.
2. I once had a pet rooster named Rudy, who followed me around everywhere I went. I could pick him up, and he would go to sleep in my hand. Gosh, he was a hoot.
3. When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I was stung 20+ times by a swarm of Yellowjackets. The only thing that saved me was my grandmother saw the whole thing and came running outside, picked me up and ran. I know she had to have been stung many times, too. She was a quiet, gentle person, who walked around very slowly on two arthritic knees. I never saw my grandmother move like she did that day! *sigh* My hero....
4. I wanted to be an Art teacher. I took art classes all four years of high school, then became a dental assistant. Go figure!
5. My favorite late-night snack is a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles cereal.
6. I love to mow. It's probably my favorite thing to do around the house. It takes me about 3-4 hours to mow and trim everything from start to finish, but I use the time on my lawnmower to just ponder about things. It's very relaxing to me! (Except when my weedeater won't start and I have to throw a hissy.)
Well, that's probably more information than you ever wanted to know about me, but there it is!
My picture for the day is this....
Smokey hopes everybody has a safe and wonderful weekend! Happy Memorial Day, everybody!
A Star!
ReplyDeleteCan I have your autograph please?
(Of course this is an inside joke between Paula and I)
Hope you have A Blessed Day!
Rhonda (Sis)
Very funny.... just wait til I see you! tee hee

ReplyDeleteCongratulations....you should feel like a Rock Star--You are a Star!
ReplyDeleteI wish you and Smokey and your whole family a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Pam
Well, those don't sound unimportant at all, Paula!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteMowing is a chore we fight over here, too. So relaxing. I use it to clear my mind...
Congrats...I enjoyed reading the "unimportant" things about you. Yellow jackets...ouch, that was quite a traumatizing event at such a young age.
ReplyDeleteKim
Congratulations on becoming a star!
ReplyDeleteGood collection of things too.
Love the picture.
Have a good weekend.
You deserve that star!
ReplyDeleteInteresting things about you but I don't they are so unimportant, especially in light of your fascination with chickens! But bees, wow! That's a pretty great Grandma to rescue you!
Have a fabulous holiday weekend!
p.s. Hubby loves to mow, too. And we only have a push mower cuz our lot is small and broken up by plantings and 'stuff'! He never complains about it.
How ironic! We also have a rooster named Rudy. Aaaan you can pick him up and he'll fall asleep in your arms!
ReplyDeleteHi ,Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeletecute dog..I also live in East Tn.
Thanks Dotty
Congrats on the blog award. I wanted to be an art teacher too. I took summer school one year to get those pesty regular classes out of the way and took nothing but art my senior year I loved it. Then I went to college and took Finance and got a job at a bank. What a crock. Hated that job and now I work in a factory. Money is good, job bad. What happened to my dream? Life I guess.
ReplyDeleteYou totally deserve that award Paula!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW...about the bees!!! That is so scary! Your grandmother was your angel!!!
She's a BlaghStawh! Woo hoo - well I echo the cheers of your fans. We love seeing your adventures in country living.

ReplyDeleteHi, Paula. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm brand new to this whole thing and still learning as I go. But I have expert help from my nearly 13-year-old granddaughter. She is so smart when it comes to computers, blogging, cell phones, cameras, etc. Makes me feel, well, old. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your dog, Smokey. He reminds me so much of a dog we had when our kids were young.
I'll visit you again. Enjoy the holiday weekend.
Cheryl
