Good things

I've been a very bad girl.... *sigh*... my Ebay addiction has taken a hold on me again. But, I think Hubby will be okay with it when I make him a chicken pot pie in this...

Is this gorgeous or what? I've wanted a little pie bird for a while now, and when I saw this one and the beautiful plate by Pfaltzgraff was included- I couldn't help myself. Especially since I got them both for for $5!! Yay!! The same seller also had this rooster pie bird (squeal) and since they were kind enough to combine shipping, I bought him too.

Here is a picture of my Valentine's Day present-

Hubby also got the momma chicken and her baby riding in the wagon!
Isn't he the bee's knees? *gush*

And here is Hubby's Valentine's Day gift-

Well, actually we've had the truck for a while, but I bought him a hitch to go in the bed to pull his trailer with. He was very surprised and happy about that, because plow days are coming soon and he had no way of hauling his tractor around.

Well I'm off to do some sewing... I also found a couple of new patterns while I was on Ebay... *shhhhhh*
And then, if I'm feeling brave enough, maybe some more adventures in bread baking!

  1. Adorable pie birds - I love love the rooster one! Sweet statue of mama bird and her protected chick - your hubby did well! OK the truck is a bit much for Valentine's Day glad you explained about the hitch! You can do it with the baking girl - women have made yeast bread for centuries - you are strong, you are woman - you are BREAD BAKER!

  11. That is eerie...I have spent more time and money on eBay lately! I know it is an addiction but the bidding/bargains are irresistible!
I haven't sought out pie birds --yet but they have been on my list for some time. I have been buying charmpacks because I hope to be making some quilt items--aprons, runners, blankets.
I am glad to hear you had a good weekend. Still looking for more details!

  36. Paula, the pie birds really are so cute. I hope your new chicken won't make Belle and the others jealous! They might want to ride too...I did try to put my goose Siegfried in my son's wagon, but she would have none of that nonsence! That was a few years ago-she's in heaven now.(opps-sorry, I guess I'm off topic here-need to get some sleep!)
