Isn't it amazing how deer can jump like they do? So graceful. I never knew honey bees were slowly losing their populace. I reckon cuz when I was young I had medical issues with the stingers. Not sure if I've outgrown it or not. I tend to keep my distance. Now that you've mentioned it, I haven't seen too many around lately. A lot of Bumble bees but no honey.
I will check it out Paula, love the honeybees! Those deer pics look SO familiar, lol, we have part of our property fenced with the 4 ft. wire fencing for Kiah and the deer jump it EVERY single night, they practically *live* here! Have a wonderful day:)
We rarely see bees anymore, and not even very many butterflies. We have lots of bumble bees though.
The deer jumping the fence makes me think of this: one got a leg caught in a panel fence and hung there until it died. I saw it that morning, moving, but thought it was a piece of plastic waving in the wind. Such a terrible way to go! We have a lot of deer that graze in our pastures.
I was out for my morning walk the other day and I heard this rustle in the bushes at my side, and then thump..thump..thump and I turned to watch a big beautiful doe bounding across the field away from me...so glad I turned and looked! :D
Love the jumping deer. Thanks for the information about the honeybees. I have eight lavender plants in our yard and they attract bees but I have only seen one that looks like a honey bee. The rest are either Carpenter bees or Bumble bees. I want to attract them so having a place to tell me how is perfect. Thanks for caring and sharing.
Great pictures of the deer! Bee's are so important & honey so good for us (the only food that never spoils) We have bee hives on our place & get honey from the bee keepers every year.
Deer are amazing, and I can see why it is so hard for farmers and gardeners to keep the deer from consuming their produce when you consider just how high and extensive a fence has to be to protect it.Beautiful photos.
Now how did my husband not hear about the Bee-a-thin I wonder. Anyway, I am happy to report his hives are doing well thus far, hopefully we'll have a good honey harvest.
