Hum.... now that you put a picture up, I think I will take the summer. I do remember how cold it was and the snow on the ground for 8 days which is rare in Ga. At least in the summer we can dash inside to cool off and we have all the lovely flowers, green rolling hills, trees..... lets see...have I convinced myself yet I cant wait for summer to be over??????
Well there's something to be said about both of them. In the winter pic, I can smell the warm stew bubbling on the stove and the bread that you just pulled out of the oven...
In the summer picture, I can smell the fresh mown hay, here the sheep bleeting and am just waiting for the sun to go down to spend a cool evening on the front porch. Ah, such is the life!
I says that you wrote this post at 4:43, were you up early to beat the heat? We have been having a cool drippy week thus far. It's nice but we have yet to get really warm.
I grew up having snow in winter and I really do miss it, but I am a summer girl through-and through.
They are both beautiful - I'm loving the colors in the second one tho - I Love to see the farms all green and lush and growing things. Plus, I'm inside looking at it, so I'm not hot right now!! snicker-snicker ;)
If not for the change in seasons, life would be pretty boring. Each season has something to love. I thought that this past winter was one of the coldest, most uncomfortable winters I had endured. At the time, I thought summer would be a pleasant change. Now I know, for sure, it is easier to add clothing and stoke a fire to get warm than to take off clothing and spray water in my own face to cool off! My joints ache in all seasons! I think the heat is hard on our pets. They prefer to be inside..... Great topic to muse... Thanks! LUV YA, ★Linda★ BTW~Mike gets up to let out the dogs. I sleep in. You need to work on James about that.....
Thanks for stopping by. I'll take hot with a couple cool down breaks. Did you go to Mule Days in Columbia? I've been there many times and love you talk to the mules. ;)
Cold! I can put on more clothes, but Girlfriend...I just can't get nekkid enough in the summer! And this Alabama heat and humidity are killing me! I'm melting...! Love the pictures of the two seasons!

ReplyDeletei think i like cold. can always add more wood to the fire or another layer of clothing, but even naked you can't beat the boiling heat!

Ah...perhaps if I myself had not been up at 4:43 I might not be half asleep now and leaving off letters when I type.
ReplyDeleteIt, as in the post, says you were up early not, I says. :)
*hehe* Katie, I (or it) was up that early to take Lily out to pee, then of course could not go back to sleep... *sigh*..
ReplyDeleteI figured, "since I can't run the vacuum or do anything else productive, why not blog?"

ReplyDeleteI don't see much snow in South Texas, but I prefer heat over freezing weather. In between is best! haha!

ReplyDeleteWell the grass is always greener on the other side so right now I would say winter, lol!! Sure would be nice to cuddle by a fireplace :-)
ReplyDeleteW-e-l-l; sometime, in the past weeks, I've almost wished for the cold. But - it'll be here soon, and then I'll complain about it too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteHi Paula, I think it looks like a nice spot in both pics. I would have to go with summer though. Have you been getting any rain? Lisa
ReplyDeleteHello dear..
ReplyDeleteToday... I pick Summer.. Who knows what I will pick tomorrow.. smile..
Blessings..
Your farm is very pretty either way, but I would prefer it in the 70's. Those are perfect temps.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all the seasons but I like your summer picture best. You live in such a beautiful area, Paula. Hope you enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteToo bad we can't have half and half. Love these two pictures! I should do that here.....if it ever snows again. =)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. They give a nice overview of you place. It's lovely!
ReplyDeletePS: I prefer cold as I cannot take the heat!
ReplyDeleteCan't we JUST BE 75 ALL YEAR????
ReplyDelete(I like the hot)
