Hello?
Anybody still out there?
I can't believe it's been so long since I posted...I feel so out of touch with everybody! My computer hasn't been on but one time since my last post. Our weather turned beautiful last week and I had so many outside chores to do... the big barn was in need of a serious clean-out where we had used part of it for lambing pens, the small sheep barn was knee deep in manure, and the chicken coops.... well, we won't go there. Needless to say, it was goooood to be outside without a heavy coat on! And the days are getting longer, too... once the time changes this weekend, we will have an extra hour in the evening. I can't wait!
Not much news here since last time, and I haven't even taken any new pictures... (*shocker* I always have my camera with me.) But I will tell you that everyone is fine: the peeps are growing, Pepper and Polly are too, and the Silkies have all gone broody. (Imagine that....)
More on all of that next time, but today I want to say Happy Birthday to my sweet Hubby... I love you more than anything and wouldn't trade ya for nothin! You're the best! (♥ squeeeeal ♥)
Here is a picture of him doing one of his very favorite things in the whole world- scarfing down a Krispy Kreme fresh from the assembly line in Pigeon Forge, TN.
A new and better post will be coming soon (with pictures, I promise!) but in the meantime, I have a lot of catching up to do- I'm off to visit all my bloggy friends!
Hello Paula
ReplyDeleteIts good to see you posting again!
Can't wait to see what is new at the Fraker Farm and all the cute little fuzzy bottoms!
Happy Birthday to your sweet hubby.
I love Krispy Kreme, especially when they are HOT. Haven't had one in a long time since I have been on a diet! Now I am hungry just thinking about it. I guess I will go eat a protein bar and pretend its a a Krispy Kreme.....
Hugs, Ann
Hey, looks like your husband and mine have something in common!!! (well, I'll admit he has the donut-thing in common with me, too!! Except we don't have Krispy Kreme; ours come from Tim Horton's. Same pillowy-soft glazed goodness, I'm sure!)
ReplyDeleteNice to see you're still alive and doing really well!
Happy birthday to your hubby! Mine was yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI could eat a box of hot Krispy Kremes - like sweet glazed air!
happy birthday to your hubby! it should finally hit high 50/low 60 here today - believe me, i cannot wait. and i see sun. can't wait for pictures!
ReplyDeletekris
I was thinking about you just yesterday and I missed you! Ahhh, kispy krems...yum, love them! Sounds like you two are working hard so those donuts won't hurt a bit right?! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteHey you, that chicken picture is kinda eerie I felt like I was being stared down!! Glad you had some outdoor time. It feels like school's been let out and we get to play/work outside!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure that I'd say I'm "excited" about giving up that hour of sleep. But, if I look at it your way - gaining an hour of daylight maybe I'll have a better 'tude.
70 degrees here in eastern NC today. Yeah! My poor silkies. I wonder how they can even see! I trim the fethers, but they grow back so quickly! I have a one eyed splash hen (lost her eye to an illness as a chick according to the guy I bought her from last spring) who just layed her first eggs last week. She quit laying again and wasn't sitting, so I put them under one of my reliable sitting mixed bantams. Hopefully we will get something from her. She's got a blue rooster with her. Yum on the Crispy cremes!
ReplyDelete~Randy
I have missed you but I do understand.
ReplyDeleteI also don't post for several days for one reason or another.
Really enjoy looking at your interesting chicks.
happy birthday to your hubby.
I'm here, only now I am craving Krispy Kreme donuts. Too bad (or maybe a good thing) they are so far from my house. Spring time on the farm must be so much fun. Can't wait to see all that's going on.
ReplyDeleteGotta love that Krispy Kreme! I could scarf down a few of those chocolate ones myself!
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy, girl - I'm so glad the time is changing, too. I wish it would stay on DSL all year long. But they didn't ask me...
Have a great week! Happy Birthday to your husband!
Hey there, Paula!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you, again! Hope your hubby has a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Mmm...scarfing down some good ol' Krispy Kreme doughnuts...that's what I call a CELEBRATION! Enjoy! :):)
Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteI bet you are enjoying getting outside without a heavy coat on. We hit 74 degrees the other day. It was SUNSHINE and GORGEOUS!!! LOVE the time change for the evening....HATE it for the morning!
Happy, HAPPY Birthday to your dear hubby!!!!!♥
Happy Birthday to Hubby! It is good to hear from you. The weather has turned nice here too, woohoo!! I had to clean out the coop today and it was horrible. Way over due. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to him, and nice you have such good weather! We still have a mountain of snow, but rain is coming this weekend, so perhaps it will melt away??? Hope so! I'm ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are okay and enjoying your nice weather. We are starting to get weather faintly like spring weather. Our order for seeds have been placed and I am itching to dig in the ground and have grubby fingers once again. I love that your chicks are doing so well and that things on the farm on gettting "farm" tidy. I am with the hubby about the donuts. I am not supposed to eat them but I love watching others do it. I can almost taste them myself! Write more soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm out here and glad to see you posting again! I have been neglecting my blog too but don't have the excuse of farm chores. I've just been lazy. Looking forward to more posts. Happy Birthday to your dear hubby!
ReplyDeleteYou have been doing what we have been doing ( except for eating donuts) cleaning out sheep and chicken pens! I still have the duc pen to do and then i think I might get started all over again so that maybe it won't be so durn back-breaking because I have left the mucking-out too long.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your husband, may he have many, many more Krispee Kreme's!
I too am so looking forward to the time change and spring weather. It was beautiful here today....80 degrees!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your hubby...and hand me one of those krispy kremes :) there ain't nothing better!!
ReplyDeleteTracey
Your post reminded me of some chores that need to be done!! How do we get it all done? One thing at a time...just keep moving.
ReplyDeleteWe're thinking of building a new chicken shed..and one with less open space for prey to climb up and over.
Yum..Krispy Kreme..makes my mouth water! Did you get one or two?
Happy Birthday to your dear hubby! I hope he has a wonderful day. It seems like quite a few of us have been taking some time off from blogging. It must be the time of year. Spring is almost here though :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Hi Paula! Happy Birthday your your DH! Wish I had a Krispy Kreme right now. LOL
ReplyDeleteIrma :)
Mmm...Krispy Kreme. Some day, I hope to visit a Krispy Kreme (like I really need it!).
ReplyDeleteAfter a long winter, I think the nicer weather is calling us all outdoors, Paula, even those of us who don't have barns to scour, or critters to feed. It's almost spring!
Hey Paula, This warmer weather has felt so good and I can't wait for that extra hour of sunlight.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Paula's hubby :)
Take Care :)
Hi! Happy Birthday to your husband. That donut looks yummy, but thankfully I cant' eat them, give me major heart burn!!!
ReplyDeletePaula, Glad you were able to get out. things do pile up, especially with animals. lol Enjoy the warm weather and sunshine.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I am so happy that it looks like spring is finally here!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your husband!!! I love Krispy Kreme too! It's been way too long since I've had them fresh!
Paula, I too havent been blogging for quite some time but I hope to get back in the swing of things.....I am having a problem with some of my chickens plucking each others feathers out..we have been putting blue-kote and pine tar on them but its not stopping them completely. Have you had this problem? I have 11 hens they have a big stall with condos for laying boxes and a big barn yard to run in durring the day. We lock them up at night because we have a lot of skunks and coons.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of that chickens.
ReplyDeleteNow I want a donut!
Happy Birthday to your hubby Paula. :)
ReplyDeleteKrispy Kreme's..oh my goodness..I LOVE them!!! NOW i want one!!!
Wishing you a wonderful day,
Doreen
Paula,
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear from you again. We've been missing blogging with you. Hope you've gotten all the chores done and will enjoy the pretty weather with spring coming soon. Hope you hubby had a wonderful birthday. Good to hear from you!!!
Hi Paula, I want to wish a belated happy birthday to your husband. Hope you both have had a good week. Take care dear friend, Mildred
ReplyDeleteWell, Miss Paula -
ReplyDeleteI do believe that you've got to be one of the busiest girls I know! You've got so many babies depending on you - you don't owe ANY apologies! Speaking of the babies... how are they all enjoying the warmer weather and longer days? Do they seem to get "cabin fever" like humans do?
And Happy, Happy Birthday to your sweet hubby! Is it "Mr. Farm Chick"? Or "Farm Dude"? Either way, tell him that our little family wishes him a happy birthday!
You have a blessed week-end, Miss Paula!
Many Blessings,
Julie
It's okay, Sweetie, we didn't need to see pictures of you knee deep in manure! Ewwww!!
ReplyDeleteNow, James--on the other hand, does look to know his way around a Krispy Kreme. He could be a cop! LOL
We have been enjoying 45' temps lately and plenty of rain.
My cold is better. Poor Mike has it now. I am progressing with my spring cleaning, though it is slow.
Have a super weekend! :+} ★Linda
Forgot--
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you! :)

You hubby has the same bday as my sister-in law! Happy birthday! (That's one of the ways I knew it was "MEANT TO BE"...Mike and his sister's bdays are two weeks apart - March 10 and the 24...and I'm smack in the middle on the 17th!)
ReplyDeleteI miss Krispie Kreme. It's really hard to find one up here in the big city. I think there might be one in the suburbs somewhere. (sigh)
So happy you're back in the blogosphere!
We all know you are a busy woman! I have been away from my blog all week with a puppy with post surgeries to nurse...Just sending you some love...mare
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...it's that time of year again when life interferes with living...in the form of chores, work and other things that just aren't as much fun as goofing off!
ReplyDeleteLoving that crazy chicken hairdo!
ReplyDeleteBarn chores are important...we'll wait for you.
Hi Paula! You're missed! Glad to hear that everyone is fine...the creatures great and small! ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blogging much either!
Maybe we both need to change that, LOL!
(((Hugs)))

Paula, my hubby and I might be going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg next week. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI've been a bad blogger lately too. I got addicted to my farm on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI hope your hubby had a great birthday. I love Krispy Kreme too, just glad we don't have one close by, or I would be there too often.
