My poor little blog has been neglected lately and I've sure missed keeping up with all my blog friends- but I've been so busy with some projects in and around the house for the past couple of weeks I haven't had much time for my computer.
One of the more enjoyable projects I've been working on was making a few more fabric pumpkins to add with my other fall decor. It's a really cute pattern and very easy to make. I've enjoyed sharing a few of them with my blog friends every Fall and this year will be no different- I'm giving away the pumpkin in the picture above and all you have to do to be entered into the drawing is leave a comment. Oh, and in your comment- tell me what you like best about Fall... a visit to an apple orchard? Pumpkin patches and corn mazes? Cool crisp mornings and the changing of the leaves? The drawing is open to everyone, even if you've never left a comment before. I would love to hear from you, too! Just be sure to leave an email address in your comment if you don't have a Blogger or Wordpress profile.
The winner will be announced on next Tuesday's post and hopefully I'll also have some pictures of my nephew's wedding- which is this Saturday- to share with you then, too. On the other hand, I may be so caught up in the moment I forget to take a single picture. (Which is highly possible when it comes to things like that...)
And just for a laugh, I wanted to share some pictures someone sent me in an email... I'm sure some of you have already seen them but I wanted to share it with everyone because I think they're really cute.
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Those pic's are funny! Glad you posted!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall!
We don't normally decorate for the seasons but, what the hell. The best thing I like about Fall: The season before it. ;)
ReplyDeleteGood morning Paula..
ReplyDeleteLove your pumpkin and the pics are funny.. smile..
I love the Harvest in the Fall..
My favorite thing, I guess..
Blessings..
You inspire me. What a busy gal you are, and you have so many talents!
ReplyDeleteI actually hadn't seen the 'harvest moon' picture before.
Some one sure has a dry sense of humor :)
I love EVERYTHING about Fall!
Crisp mornings, canning, harvest, changing leaves, hot cocoa with cinnamon, etc.. etc..
Have a happy day!
Corn maze for blondes! *Laughs until eyes water*
ReplyDeleteHi Paula! Loved the pics you shared today - thanks for the giggles! I'm enjoying the cooler temps and having the windows open. My cats love being able to sit in the windowsills watching the leaves swirl to the ground.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Love your cloth pumpkin!
Hey, I know what you mean. I had a busy spell...not dizzy...!
ReplyDeleteI love fall because all the weeds that give me sinus headaches are so beautiful. Isn't God good to make even the weeds pretty? I like fall because it's finally not so blazing hot and I can open my windows...I could go on.
Luv the punkin AND the Pic. Harvest moon...hahahaha.
There you are, hope all is okay otherwise. Its good to take a break from the computer, get the circulation flowing to numb parts...
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable pumpkin and its perfect for fall. Now if we could get back the cool weather we had earlier it would fee like it. Love the leaves till we have to clean the gutters and rake. Love the cool fresh air.
Hope you have a blessed day.
How cute! I like the 'Harvest Moon' one. What do I like about Fall? THe cool, crisp mornings, The foods! Going to fall festivals and fairs. THe colors! There is just a feeling of 'ok, it's time to slow down for awhile'. Hope you have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteWhat i like..?
ReplyDeleteSitting on my front porch watching the leaves turn color....!!
Love the pictures...
Enjoy
I know what you mean about being busy. We have been busier than a one armed paper hanger. The top 10 reasons I LOVE fall are: 10 less bugs 9 cooler weather with frost 8 fairs 7 the smells 6 the fall colors 5 pumpkins 4 spice scented candles 3 fires in the wood stove 2 the decorations and NUMBER 1 NO MORE HAY TO CUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I want that pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I just saw the "corn maze for blondes" the first time the other day. Too funny. (Whew, good thing I'm a brunette!!)
ReplyDeleteI love the colours of fall ~ the golds, oranges, browns, and greens. I love fall days that still feel like summer and yet being able to sleep with the windows open, allowing the cool night air in. I love how much cozier my bed feels on fall mornings! I love the smell of stubble-burning fields while eating sweet, cinnamony, steaming hot porridge for breakfast. I love the sights and sounds of harvest ~ the constant drone of combines, tractors, and grain trucks; the sight of 3-4 combines in a row, making short work of a golden field; even all the dust! I love the return of the migrating birds as they head south ~ the honking geese and the twittering warblers. I just love fall!!!
Love the pumpkin you've made! In a way fall makes me sad, but I love the beautiful colored leaves and new calves.
ReplyDeleteThat first picture made me chuckle!
don't enter me in the giveaway as i don't decorate for holidays, but just had to say the corn maze for blondes cracked me up!!!
ReplyDeleteOh mom loves that Halloween and we love punkins
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Hi Paula, don't feel badly about your blog because I have not been keeping up with mine either. Not like I want to. I love your pumpkin and I would love to win this one. If I don't win it, maybe you will share the pattern? The thing I love most about fall is the changing of the leaves and the cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh Paula! Fall is my favourite season. Hope you are having a wonderful Autumn thus far.
ReplyDeleteHa,Ha...... I like the 2nd picture, very cute, lol. Richard from Amish Stories.
ReplyDeleteAutumn/fall is my favorite season and Halloween is my favorite holiday-mainly because it is in the fall!
ReplyDeleteI love the Colorful Scenic Drive weekend through Van Buren Villages. You would love it, too, Paula. They have a buckskinners rendevous in Lacey State Park where they camp in pre-Civil War tents and throw axes at stumps and cook Indian fry bread and over open fires and they dress in period clothing and there are real Indians there. They make applebutter over an open fire and serve it with the fry bread. The park is so beautiful i fall and the great Des Moines River runs through it and I so wish you could be there with me........
Or come and go with us to the original Pike's Peak Park in far northern Iowa where Zebulon Pike first declared IT to be Pike's Peak Park! It is where abunch of rivers-including the Mississippi-join together. It is the most beautiful place in fall..... we just love it and would so love to share it with you and James...... perhaps in pictures and my dreams...
love your punkin, Dear. I bet you get lots of entries! You are just too sweet hearted for people to pass you up!
Hugs to James and Lily and Smoky.
Warmest autumn blessings,my sweet friend! ★Linda★
I loved the photos and I sure would like to win that pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteIt is so cute.
I love the changing colors of falls.
Hugs
I love that little punkin. My favorite besides the beautiful colors are the cool, crisp nights..
ReplyDeleteYour pictures made me laugh and your pumpkin made me smile...It is so cute..I love fall and I'm still waiting for it to arrive in my part of the world...My favorite thing is the very first cold front. Here in SE Texas it usually comes in with a bang, hot in the morning and then BAM, it blows in and temps start dropping fast...I always go outside and enjoy every minute of the great 'blow in'....Anxously waiting...))smiles))
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you again. Love that blonds joke picture, hahahaha !!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you
Marilyn
I came here from Hidden Riches in Secret Places. I saw the comment you left for Cora there and wanted to see your blog. I love everything about your farm: the chicks, the dogs, the fan on the sheep, the lights at night...How wonderful in every way!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your nephew's wedding and God bless you for helping Ducky walk.
The best thing I like about fall? the cool, crisp air that makes the leaves change color!
God bless,
Dawn

I enjoy reading your blog and have followed for over a year. My favorite thing about fall are the colors. I love the reds, golds, oranges and browns of fall.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is always so interesting. Love to see pics of your dog! The way you treat your chickens is unbelievable!! They are lucky birds. What I like best about fall is the canning and freezing is over, and I don't have to go out into the hot sun and weed! Pat McDonald

Hi Paula, those pictures were great! I love your fabric pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteHey, I finally got some baby chicks! I am so excited! Come see!!
Hugs, Ann
Love the scarecrow:)
ReplyDeleteI have to say that fall has become my favorite season but it hasn't always been.
When I was younger, I would pray that summer would never end (I think it had to do with summer break from school)
Now that we have a house in the woods with beautiful leaves falling and a garden with lots of tomatoes to can, I have to say that fall is definitely the best season for me.

Ah, funny post! I love the cooler weather, but the allergies are KILLING me. For me, fall equals a drugged state of being.
ReplyDeleteCute little pumpkin! I love the country feel of it. I mostly love the cool morning air and warm days of fall. It makes me feel so alive and gives me lots of energy. Then again, I love apples, cider, donuts, the hills ablaze with color. Aw shucks, I love everything about autumn:)
ReplyDeleteI sure love your fabric pumpkin. It's great to have you blogging again. Your photos are so lovely. I hope you are enjoying this fall season. You inspire me with all your talents.
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkins you make. You do such a great job.
ReplyDeleteI like fall because of the cool crisp mornings and the end of our awful summer temps. We don't have many trees here in the desert that change leaf color.
I miss that.
Cute pics.
Love the pumpkin, Paula. Since fall is my favorite season my list would be so long, I love all fall colors, cool mornings and evenings, and all the scents of fall.
ReplyDeleteThe pics, were so funny.
Blessings,
Sue
I love this little pumpkin, and I CANNOT sew to save my life! I would give it a good home, though!
ReplyDeleteI think the blond corn maze is hysterical, and will have to send it to a good friend who would appreciate it... a blond!
OOOH, that pumpkin would look so good sitting on my dining table! What I like about fall-- sleeping with the windows open, leaves crunching when I walk, and baked sweet potatoes!
ReplyDeleteGood photos thanks for sharing I do love the punkin, I love the coolness of each morning, an being able to sit out on my porch, in the summer it is impossible, the heat and humidity is jut too much. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletePaula you have such a great sense of humor! I love getting out to the farmers markets in the fall and getting to put up fall decorations. Best of all is the the wonderful cool evenings again! I so want to be in TN this fall; but doesn't look like that's happening this year. I told hubby we're going next year or ELSE!
ReplyDeleteLoved those pics! Your pumpkin is sooooo cute! Would love to be entered in your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIrma :)

I read your blog every chance I get. Love your house. Is it a log house? Fall is my favorite season and some of the things I love about it is how wonderful the first couple of cool fronts feel after a long hot southern summer. I also love all the pumpkins and other fall decorations.
ReplyDeleteForgot to mention I love decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIrma :)
That harvest moon is so funny. I'm going to copy that for our yard. (if I can get my wife do all the work) Ha! But I found the picture didn't I?
