Well, put on your muck boots and come along!
Smokey is waiting for us- he's already been running rabbits out of the garden.
Once we get up to the barn, the first stop is Daisy and Edie's. This is the view from inside their pen.....
See the hay on the end of her nose? *chuckle*
Daisy's first order of business is to go outside. She'll eat after Edie samples everything. She loves to be the first one outside.

She looks like she's thinking, "So much grass, so little time..."
Literally.
Next stop- the Big House where Hamburger and the girls are waiting patiently. (NOT!!)

I never get tired of seeing this sight!
Come on, Paula- hurry up!
The banty coop is next- I let the terrorist offspring (all 8 of them) and Liza Minelli out of their box...
Then the silkies......
Good morning to you too, Whitey!
The banty coop is now a flurry of activity... crowing, fighting, squawking, fuzzy bottoms.... *sigh*... have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE fuzzy bottoms?
Next stop- Elvis and Priscilla. Who are also waiting patiently, as you can see.
Once E and P are fed, I glance up the hill toward the beehives and the garden-
I'll check them out when the grass dries up a little more. That will be on the afternoon schedule of things to do.

Time to head back to the house- everybody's had breakfast but me and Smokey.
Thank you for sharing your morning with us! What a beautiful way to start the day!!
ReplyDeleteI love going along on morning chores with you Paula. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day in your area. Hopefully, you'll continue the tour in the afternoon. How are the bees doing?
ReplyDeleteMorning Paula,
ReplyDeleteI LOVED going on your morning chores. I'm telling you Lexi and I would have a GREAT time at your farm helping you with all the critters!! How fun that Smokey stays right by your side. Hope you have a great day!♥
Enjoyed your post. Looks like a good life there on Fraker Farm!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness you sound like you hit the floor running! Somedays I feel like that with 5 dogs in the house. I am a very popular person here twice a day! I love morning chores because I am a morning person. It's the afternoons that give me fits! You should go and take a nap now!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE BEING WITH YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteI was curious about E & P--now I know. The girls look beautiful as ever. And the poultry----let's just say, the whole set-up is amazing.
You know, you need a really cute calf........
Enjoy the gardening--going to be ridiculous humid here today---good for gardens; not for gardeners! :)
Paula,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking me with you on your morning chores (except I went much later)! :) Mornings really are beautiful....I need to work on being more of a morning person! Your day looks beautiful...your farm is such a happy place!
Have a great week!
Tammy
Oh, to live just one day in your shoes, Paula! Hope you and all your farm critters have an awesome day! :)
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the tour, a break from programming in this cubicle "farm". Thanks! Being the dog lover and Vols fan that I am, my favorite is Smokey!
ReplyDeleteThere is something so terribly satisfying about morning routines with the animals isn't there? I let our barn cat out each morning - he is shut in at night due to our coyote and predator problems here. Goats are let out of pens, goldfish in trough are fed a little bit, then chickens out of their coop and into the pen. DH and I do our devotional and bible reading together each morning - I do like routine - yours is lovely and you have the best company in the world - a good dog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful morning on the Farm; thanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of your day is just as wonderful-
Blessings,
Pam
You get a lot done before you even get breakfast! I think I need to step up a bit lol! All of your animals are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks for the tour. The pictures of Daisy, E and P, and Whitey are all my second favorite my #1 is of Smokey. What a good friend. I bet he know the schedule and is a big help.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful view and are so blessed.
Are you in Beechgrove, Tennessee? We might be neighbors!
ReplyDeletePaula, just loved feeding the gang with you today! I love the way the mornings are foggy..they are often that way here also. It isn't hard to wake up in the morning when you have such a sweet bunch waiting on you! blessings,Kathleen
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking me with you today while you did morning chores. I have to tell you your farm is so clean and well kept. You are a very good steward of all the blessings that you have. I always enjoy your posts!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, Paula! I live vicariously through you everytime I visit! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my city life and wouldn't trade it, but your farm is so stinkin' charming I can hardly stand it! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful farm tour! I too get a thrill every time I see eggs in the nest box! It is a privilege to be able to keep farm animals and bees, isn't it? ( but especially the chickens!)
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! What a great way to share a beautiful morning! And Smokey's such a great helper!
ReplyDeleteI loved going on the tour of your farm and the morning feedings. You get a lot done before breakfast!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great life you have there.
We share similar chores...it's the ideal life for a farmgirl!
ReplyDeletePaula, i just loved taking that morning walk with you! I want to give that Smokey a great big kiss! He's adorable! And that little terrorist has been BUSY! Wow! It's so good to visit you here....
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us along on your chore route. There is just something so comforting about the routine of chores like that. I actually kind of miss it.
ReplyDeleteI just happened to stop by via Country girl at home.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading and following along while you did your chores.
I was a city girl all of my life till 3 years ago hubs moved us to an acreage. I now really love the peacefulness of the country life.
I am trying my hand at a garden this year.
Hope to stop by again.
Thanks for sharing.
Howdy Paula,
ReplyDeleteIt all looks next to heaven to me!
Blessings,
Lorilee
Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI came over from Darlene's. What a treat I had in store over here. Thanks for taking all these pix of your magical place. I even scrolled down to see the beehives. But my favorite pic of all was your little Smokey looking up at you so lovingly. : )
What a beautiful morning routine. I'm glad you let us go along with you!
ReplyDeletefound your blog today and think I'm hooked already. Even the kids took your morning chore tour. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures. It makes me feel like I'm there. I wish we could have a goat, but I don't think we can have one in the city where we live. Might be able to get one to keep at my MIL. She lives farther out in the country that we do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your morning. What a wonderful way to start the day.
I so enjoyed doing morning chores with you, but honestly, I feel like I just watched and didn't help at all. Next time I swear I'll do better! I think I was distracted by that beautiful early morning sky...
ReplyDeletePaula, thank you for sharing your morning chores with us. I loved meeting all the animals first thing. (grin) You have a beautiful place. Winona
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us on your early morning schedule! I love, love your chicken runs, Paula! Those are great~I think I'll show them to hubby and give him an idea of what we could do with ours!
ReplyDeleteI loved Edie's nose~what a sweetie! And Elvis and Priscilla are just adorable! I miss my goats!
Your tomatoes look great. I'm so happy to say that we have quite a few coming on, too!
Have a great day~!
Sorta sounds like my mornings. I am last on the list too! lol...

Have a great day.
Pam
Your place is beautiful! I enjoy visiting your farm.
ReplyDeleteHi Paula! I'm late for all the hard chores but I loved looking!!Hahaa...Happy weekend to you!hughugs
ReplyDeleteHi Paula - thanks for visiting with your comments about the red barn! And I appreciate your offer to email me some pics. Actually, I had read back on your blog some and saw pictures of ya'll's barn. I think we ARE about to decide on red. We just want red. So that settles it!
ReplyDeleteMy son lives in Nashville, and my parents lived in Dickson for about 5 years. All my people are from Chattanooga. Tennessee is a beautiful state - ya'll actually have 4 seasons. Here in Texas, we have 3-4 months of chilly, and hot & humid. I'd love to have a couple of months of a nice mild spring and fall...
I've enjoyed your blog - love all your animals. We're trying to get moved out to our farm permanently in the near future.
Have a great weekend!
Paula, can't they sleep in a little bit longer?? 6:10 am is a little to early for me! LOL
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed tagging along with your morning chores!
~Ann
Good Morning Paula!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed reading through your blog and getting to know you! It is my routine to find a new blog and then take however long to read all the old to the new. I think you commented to me before, and I appreciate that. My main readers are related and don't comment! I do have a little tomatoe envy. A friend and I started some from seed and others were plants. I have quite a few in my garden and the Cherry maters are just starting to blossom. We call each other and it is funny because we are like little kids waiting for Christmas... how big are yours?...any blossoms?...are your beans up?.. how do your peas look? We are in WNY state, so we have late snow and frost, but we're ready!! Especially after our winter of over 300 inches of snow. GIVE US GREEN!! Still thinkin' on the whole chicken raisin', but I like growin' so far...
Keep writin' so I have something good to read!!
I enjoyed reading your blog this afternoon...Had some time to do some blog hopping...always enjoy finding new blogs!
ReplyDeleteHope you will visit me. This month I am posting on our Disney trip.
Love your summertime chores! Your place is a dream come true! Good thing you don't have to milk cows!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking us along Paula....that was fun!!
ReplyDelete:) Tracey
Thank you for sharing your morning!! I'll be happy to do chores with you any day. The sunrise is gorgeous - early morning is the best!
ReplyDeleteHello! I just found your blog and love it! I really enjoyed sitting here at my computer doing chores with you. Fresh eggs are the best. Thanks again for a great time!
ReplyDeleteLoved doing chores with you Paula!
ReplyDeleteSeeing E n P makes me really want a Boer goat. If I got a girl, then my Olde Lydia would have a girlfriend. She doesn't seem lonely even though we have no other goats right now. Must be because the puddle ducks are in her pen, oh and she seems to think "I"m a goat too. lol
Hope the bees are doing well. SOON you'll BEEable to have some honey on toast to go with that bowl of SPECIAL K was it? lol
Holykisses Paula!
Lea
Thanks for taking us along!!!! Can I live with Daisy and Eddie....what and AWESOME view!!!!
